The closest airport to Port Vila is Bauerfield International Airport (VLI) about a fifteen minute drive to the north of town.
In Vanuatu you drive on the right side of the road, and there are two main speed limits — 50 km/h in urban and town areas and 80 km/h on the open road.
In most cases you need to be at least 23 years old and have had a full, unrestricted, licence for at least one year to rent a car in Vanuatu. If your licence is not in English, you will need an International driving licence.
